Ashok Leyland continously improving its performance month on month. In December 2014, it registerd striking growth of 85% in Medium and Heavy duty segment. It sold 7,210 units in December 2014 compare to 3,890 units in December 2013. LCV segment still showing negative growth. It noted 13% de growth in December 2014 compare to same month of the last year.
Ashok Leyland Sales Trend in 2014 (Including Export):
In 2014, Ashok Leyland sales improved since May 2014. In September 2014, it registered double digit growth of 10.3%.December was one of the best month for the company. It touched 20% sales growth compare to November 2014. Its competitors Tata Motors noted 12% sales growth in December 2014.
March 2014 was the best month for the company in LCV and M&HCV segment.
April to December 2014, Ashok Leyland registered 25% sales growth in M&HCV segment. LCV shown 11% de growth in December 2014 compare to April – December 2013. In M&HCV, it sold 51,394 units compare to 41,518 units, in LCV it sold 19,349 units compare to 21,776 units in Dec FY 2014. Total it sold 70,743 units compare to 63,294 units. Cumulatively it registered 12% sales growth.
