TVS Motors registered 4% growth in sales for the month of October 2013 with 197,905 units sold against 190,438 units sold in October 2012. The total domestic sales registered 2% in October 2013 at 174,751 units against 171,875 units in October 2012. Three Wheeler sales saw 25 % growth in October 2013 with 23,154 units exported against 18,563 units exported during October 2012.
The cumulative sales for FY 2013-14 stood at 1,181,094 units against 1,195,556 units during same period of previous financial year registering 1% de-growth
Two Wheelers
Two wheeler sales stood at 189,979 units in October 2013 against 186,376 units in October 2012, registering 2% growth.
Domestic two wheeler sales for October 2013 grew by 2% at 173,229 units against 170,273 units in October 2012.
Motorcycles grew by 13% increasing from 72,687 units in October 2012 to 82,352 units in October 2013. Scooters registered sales of 42,124 units in October 2013 as against 43,973 units in October 2012.
Three Wheelers
Three wheeler segment witnessed 95% growth in sales with 7,926 exports units in October 2013 against 4,062 units in October 2012.
Domestic sales account for 5% decrease at 1,522 units in October 2013 against 1,602 units in October 2012. Exports grew by 160% in October 2013.
