The domestic sales for Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) in March 2014 stood at 35,003 units against 33,858 units sold in March 2013, registering 3.4% growth.
Exports for March 2014 were 16,705 units; 26% lower in comparison with March 2013 exports of 22,579 units. The total sales for the month in review accounts for 51,708 units against 56,437 units during March 2013, marking 8.4% de-growth.
Commenting on the March sales Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, “Post the reduction of excise duty and with the strong performance in compact segment; Hyundai registered March sales of 35,003 units with a growth of 3.4% over corresponding month indicating a build-up of positive momentum.”
