Bajaj Auto is loosing its grip in domestic market. However it export share increased from 30% to 35% in November 2014. To gain market share of 20 to 22% in current Financial year, company is planning to launch new models in last quarter of FY 15. The flagship model Pulsar in premium segment is also getting tough competition from Karizma. Recently Honda and other manufactures are targeting to take good amount of share in this segment.This is also challenge for company to keep its monopoly in this segment, currently it is having around 45% market share. Three wheeler segment registered excellent performance by registered growth of 48%. Bajaj Two wheeler sold 261,948 units in November 2014 with a de growth of 6%, it has registered de growth in October 2014 also during Diwali festival. The company sold 278,703 units of bike in the November 2013. There is good gain by the company in three wheeler segment. It sold 47,731 units. Retail sales of company has also affected which is manufactures to Dealers. Both primary and secondary sales has affected.
From April-November 2014, Bajaj sold 2,372,882 bikes in November 2014 as against 2,336,467 units sold in November 2013, recording a growth of 2%. The sales of three wheeler for the period up by 22% while export jumped by 24%. Company could think about to enter into Scooter segment to make its grip strong in Domestic market. Bajaj is no more interested in the domestic industry, they surely have made an assessment that Exports market is much bigger than the sluggish Indian Market. Even with the new 200SS & 375 Pulsar on cards, not much should be expected from them.
