After festive season, TVS Motor Company continue increased its sales in November 2014 recorded 36% growth in Two wheeler segment. TVS registered 36% growth, Scooter segment is growing with 29% segment share. Three wheeler is still struggling to get good numbers in this segment. Total sales included export stood at 220,046 in Nov 2014 with 36% growth.
In domestic market, Two Wheeler sales volume increased but segment share has decreased by 2% due to heavy competition in this segment. Customers purchase trend has shifted to buy Scooter compare to Mopeds and Bike. There is a 4% increase in Scooter segment share during rolling year of 2014. On the other hand even after promoting heavily its Moped, it lost 6% segment share and there is no direct competition of Moped. Tamil Nadu and South India is the major market for Mopeds.
Total two wheeler sales shown 36% growth in November 2014 compare to last year November 2013.
For Two Wheeler manufactures, export Business could be one of the major sales driver due to its demand in South Asian, African and Latin American market. TVS export sales has also increased by more than 50% and Motorcycle, Scooters has also registered double digit growth in November 2014. Mopeds need to re position in terms of price to keep its continuous sales growth.
