Maruti Suzuki's sales for the Q1 FY 2013-14 stood at 245,346 units as against 263,264 units for the first quarter of FY 2012-13 thus registering a 7.30% decline. Exports were 21,088 units for Q1 of financial year 2013-14 which was 32,632 units in the same quarter of previous financial year thereby registering a steep decline of 35.40% decline. The total sales including exports went down by 10% in Q1 FY 2013-14 against Q1 FY 2012-13.
At the same time sales numbers decade for Maruti in every segment as against same period of last financial year. In the Car Segment the sales had degrown by 3.94% while utility segment decreased by 29.70% and Van segment decades by 23.67%.
The total sales of passenger cars declined by 3.80% in Q1 FY 2013-14 as against Q1 FY 2012-13. The sales of Dzire has increased by 4.90% in Q1 for financial year 2013-14 as against the same quarter previous year. The segment including Maruti 800, Alto, A-Star and WagonR also posted growth of 3%, while sales of SX4 for Q1 FY 2013-14 as against Q1 FY 2012-13. The segment including Swift, Estilo and Ritz went down by 18.20%.
