Maruti sold a total of 110,776 units in August 2014 against 87,323 units sold in August 2013, registering growth of 26.9%.


Domestic sales grew by 29.3% for August 2014 at 98,304 units against 76,018 units sold in August 2013. The exports for the month increase by 10.3% with 12,472 units against 11,305 units for August 2013.

The year to date sales for April to August period of FY 2014-15 stood at 512,050 units against 437,056 units sold during the same period of previous year, registering 17.2% growth. Domestic sales for the period in review were 459,040 units which grew by 15.8% as compared to the same period of FY 2013-14.

The passenger car sales grew by 30.4% in August 2014 at 82,823 units against August 2013 sales of 63,499 units. The Utility segment which includes Gypsy, Ertiga and Grand Vitara, registered sales of 5,491 units in August 2014 against 4,563 units sold in August 2013 registering 20.3% growth. The sales of Maruti Vans – Omni and Eeco stood at 9,990 units in August 2014 marking 25.6% growth against 7,956 units sold in August 2013.

Sales for Cars during April to August period of FY 2014-15 registered 14.2% growth against the same period of previous fiscal. Sales of Van segment grew by 32.2% while Utility Vehicles registered 11.1% growth for April-August period of FY 2014-15 against same period of previous year.

The sales for Mini Cars including Alto and  WagonR registered 8.3% growth while Compact Segment which includes Swift, Ritz, Celerio and Dzire recorded sales growth of 53.2%.
