Maruti sold a total of 101,380 units in July 2014 against 83,299 units sold in July 2013, registering growth of 21.7%. Domestic sales grew by 19.9% for July 2014 at 90,093 units against 75,145 units sold in July 2013. The exports for the month increase by 38.4% with 11,287 units against 8,154 units for July 2013.
The year to date sales for fy 2014-15 stood at 401,274 units against 349,733 units sold during the same period of previous year, registering 14.7% growth.
Segment-wise Sales
The passenger car sales grew by 15.5% in July 2014 at 72,782 units against July 2013 sales of 63,040 units. The Utility segment which includes Gypsy, Ertiga and Grand Vitara, registered sales of 5,631 units in July 2014 against 4,562 units sold in July 2013 registering 23.4% growth. The sales of Maruti Vans – Omni and Eeco stood at 11,680 units in July 2014 marking 54.8% growth against 7,543 units sold in July 2013.
The year to date car segment sales registered 10.4% growth during the FY 2014-15 against the same period of previous fiscal. Sales of Van segment grew by 33.9% while Utility Vehicles registered 8.9% growth for April-July period of FY 2014-15 against same period of previous year.
Modelwise Car Segment
The segment including Swift, Estilo, Ritz and Celerio registers 81.2% growth
Sales for SX4 has been heavily declining this financial year.
