The sales of Ashok Leyland for the month of September 2014 recorded 27% growth as 9,193 units were sold against 7,232 sold units sold in September 2013. The M&HCV sales increased by 40% in September 2014 at 6,621 units against 4,715 units sold during September 2013. The Light Commercial Vehicle segment witnessed 2% increased in sales at 2,572 units were sold in September 2014 against 2,517 units sold in September 2013.
The year to date sales for FY 2014-15 grew by 1% against the same period of FY 2013-14. M&HCV segment registered 7% growth in sales while LCV is at 13% decline.
Month on month, there is a positive sales trend in FY 15 H1.
