The total sales for TVS for June 2014 stood at 202,177 units against 164,128 units in June 2013 registering 23% growth.
Total two wheeler sales increased by 23% at 193,758 units in June 2014 against 157,351 units recorded in June 2013.
Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 24% with 8,419 units sold in June 2014 against from 6,777 units in June 2013.
The company's total exports grew by 24% with sales registered at 32,290 units in June 2014 against 26,047 units in the month of June 2013. Two wheeler exports grew by 26% with sales of 25,237 units in June 2014 against 20,020 units in June 2013.
TVS Motor Company has posted 23% growth during the first quarter of financial year 2014-'15 with a total sales of 584,440 units against 475,362 units recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Bajaj Post 3% growth in June 2014
The total sales for Bajaj Auto for June 2014 stood at 305,465 units against 295,749 units in June 2013 registering 3% growth.
Motorcycles sales stood at 262,202 units in June 2014, 3% growth against 254,544 units sold in June 2013. Three wheeler sales grew by 5% at 43,263 units in June 2014 against 41,205 units during the same month of previous year.
The total sales for Q1 for FY 2014-15 stood at 988,430 units against 979,275 units during the same period of previous fiscal, registering 1% growth. For the period in review two wheeler sales grew by 2% while three wheeler sales declined by 5%.
