Ashok Leyland registers 22% de-growth in half year FY 2012-13

Ashok Leyland sold a total of 7,232 units in September 2013 against 10,620 units in September 2012, registering decline of 32%. The sales of commercial vehicles except dost stood at 4,715 units in September 2013, registered 38% drop as in comparison with September 2012 where 7,593 units were sold. The SCV – Dost registered 2,517 units sold in September 2013 against 3,027 units for September 2012, marking de-growth of 17%.

The overall year-to-date sales for April to September period of financial year 2013-14 stood at 44,841 units, lower by 17% against 57,324 units sold during the same period of previous financial year. The half yearly sales of commercial vehicles except dost stood at 30,820 units, registered 12% drop as in comparison with September 2012 where 41,411 units were sold. Sales of Dost went down by 12% at 14,021 units in September 2013 against 15,913 units sold in September 2012.
