Maruti sold a total of 112,773 units including domestic and export sales in the month of June 2014 against 84,455 units sold in June 2013, registering growth of 34%. Domestic sales bagged 31% growth for June 2014 at 100,964 units sold against 77,002 units sold in June 2013. The exports for the month increase by 58% with 11,809 units in June 2014 against 7,453 units for June 2013.
The total sales for the period April to June for year 2014 stood at 299,894 units against 266,434 units sold in June 2013 registering 13% growth. Domestic sales for the period registered 10% growth while exports grew by 39%.
Segment-wise Sales
The passenger car sales grew by 32% in June 2014 at 86,223 units against June 2013 sales of 65,172 units. The Utility segment which includes Gypsy, Ertiga and Grand Vitara, registered sales of 5,003 units in June 2014 against 4,997 units sold in June 2013 registering 0.1% growth. The sales of Maruti Vans – Omni and Eeco stood at 9,738 units in June 2014 marking 43% growth against 6,833 units sold in June 2013.
Modelwise Car Segment
The sales of Mini Segment including M800, Alto, A-Star and WagonR registered 52% growth while sales of Dzire is up by 27%.
For the first quarter of FY 2014-15, sales of Compact segment Swift, Estilo, Ritz and Celerio registered 21% growth while SX4 sales are down by 63%.
