The sales for Ashok Leyland declined by 26% in January 2014 as 7,847 units were sold against 6,863 units sold in January 2013. The M&HCV registered 19% decrease in sales at 5,530 units against 10,561units sold during the same month of previous year. The Light Commercial Vehicle segment which includes Dost and Stile records 2,317 sales units for January 2014; 37% de=growth as against 3,698 units sold in January 2013.
The year to dates sales for the period April 2013 to January 2014 stood at 71,141 units, registered 21% de-growth as against 90,546 units sold during the same period of previous financial year. M&HCV sales for the period stood at 47,048 units against 62,955 units in same period of FY 2012-13, registering 25% de-growth. The sales of LCV (Dost & Stile) for April to January for FY 2013-14 registered 13% decline with 24,093 units against 27,591 units sold during the same period of previous financial year.
