The sales of Ashok Leyland had declined by 21% in the month of January 2014 as 7,915 units were sold against 10,046 units in January 2013. The M&HCV registered 21% decrease in sales at 5,576 units against 7,045 units sold during January 2013. The Light Commercial Vehicle segment which includes Dost and Stile records 2,339 sales units for January 2013; 22% de-growth as against 3001 units sold in January 2012.



The cumulative sales for April to January period for financial year 2013-14 stood at 79,056 units, registered 21% de-growth as against 100,592 units sold during the same period of previous financial year. Year to date sales of M&HCV sales stood at 52,624 units against 70,000 units sold during the same period of FY 2012-13, registering 25% de-growth. The sales of LCV (Dost & Stile) for April to January FY 2013-14 registered 14% decline with 26,432 units against 30,592 units sold during the same period of previous financial year.

Eicher

Eicher Trucks and Buses recorded total sales of 2840 units in February 2014 against 3690 units in February 2013, witnessing de-growth of 23%. The domestic sales for the month in review were 2531 units which drop by 28% as compared against 3538 units sold in February 2013. Exports for the month stood at 309 units.
