  1. UV sales increase is interesting. With new launches like Chevy enjoy this will further heat up competition. What is it driving this change?

  2. Hi Arun,

Mr. Aravindan. At Latinamerica, the bus segment is very important for daily mobility, then I have been reading this article with great interest, my question: are you associated with some Federation, university or Technology center for it research topic in Latin America?, My aim is find survey where we can extract information to know better our automotive industry, because in Colombia there is little information around this topic, bus segment. So, congratulations for this article!

      Best Regards,

  3. Fall of 10% Passenger car segment and 2% Two wheeler segment, directly impacting the -9.8% of M&HCV Truck segment, Out bond and inbond auto transportation is heavily affected. I hope last SIAM forecast was 2% and 4% grouth for 2W and Car segment, lets hope some good news for M&HCV segment in upcoming days.

  4. Dear Sir,

Can You Provide Agri & Construction Equip. Sales Analysis.

  5. Thanks for sharing this valuable & interesting analysis. Its interesting to see scooter segment doing well “yoy” basis. Kind of internal cannibalization in companies like Honda, HeroMotocorp, TVS etc.,
Further Car segment is as usual looking at “The Cape of Good Hope” hoping good times to come.

  6. Dear Arun,

Thanks for sharing a very useful analysis.
Hope UV sale will much better in coming months b’coz there are 2-3 new model like Tata Safari Storme & Mahindra Rextron has entered in the market.

  7. Passenger cars down by more than 10% is surely something to worry about- drop in fuel prices, competitive interest rates & even mouth watering discounts have not been able to draw customers. What is keeping the customers away from showrooms is still a mystery??

M & HCV trucks were expected to show some recovery but again they are down by almost 10%, Something seriously to worry about for new entrants like DICV & FOTON. The planned increase in diesel prices & ever falling rupee will still hamper the growth for months to come.

Surprisingly buses registered a positive growth, a very small & low volume industry it is. It is probably a reason to cheer for wannabe entrant like JBM.

Bikes are down by 2%, sounds quite expected because the scooters are growing at a fast pace. This shows that conventional riders are moving to scooters for the ease & comfort they offer. Premium bike launches planned this year (Duke 390, CBR 500 etc.) might blow some fire into this almost flat segment.

  8. Thanks for sharing a very useful analysis.
Hope UV sale will much better in coming months b’coz there are 2-3 new model like Tata Safari Storme & Mahindra Rextron has entered in the market.
