TVS has sold a total of 164,128 units including exports in June 2013 as opposed to 168,693 units in June 2012 and witness a 2.7% reduction in sales. The sales for Q1 FY 2013-14 stood at 494,494 units. This is a 4.8% less than what they sold during the same period of last financial year. The sales were 519,160 units in Q1 FY 2012-13.
The cumulative sales of two wheelers including exports saw a decline of 4.9% during the month of June 2013 as against June 2012. A total of 157,351 units were sold during the month as against 165,438 units for same month of the previous year. Domestic sales for June 2013 were 137,331 units against 147,893 units in June 2012.
The Q1 FY 2013-14 sales stood at 477,199 units against 510,081 units in Q1 FY 2012-13, registering a 6.4% decline. Domestic sales stood at 420,171 units for Q1 FY 2013-14 as against 451,054 units in the same period of previous financial year, recording a 6.8% decline.
Three wheeler Sales including exports for TVS witness a windfall, as they registered a 90% growth in Q1 FY 2013-14 selling 17,295 units as against 9079 units during same period of last financial year. The sales are boosted by good numbers in exports at 15,136 units of total sales and has increased by three fold as compared with same quarter of the last financial year.
TVS witnessed 11% growth in exports during the first quarter of financial year 2013-14 as against the same period of FY 2012-13. A total of 72,154 during the April – June period of FY 2012-13. Exports of two wheeler stood at 57,018 units during the period registering a 3.4% decline as compared against Q1 of previous financial year where 59,027 two wheelers were exported. The total exports for June 2013 also witnessed a healthy 32% growth with 26,047 units dispatched against 19,750 units during June 2012.
