Toyota car sales Feb 2016Toyota Kirloskar Motors shown degrowth in Domestic sale of 13% and in Export also degrowth of 39%. Overall 16% of degrowth in Feb 2016.

Commenting on the monthly sales, Mr. N. Raja, Director and Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing – Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "Our monthly sales for February has picked up when compared to January 2016. However, the ban on registration of diesel vehicles in Delhi and NCR still continues to affect our sales as the Delhi and NCR market constitutes 8-10% of our market share which comprises of both the Innova and Fortuner. Moreover, the unrest in the state of Haryana has further impacted our business in that region with dealerships being closed for more than a week."

Commenting on the budget, Mr. N. Raja said, "Part 1 of the budget gave an excellent midterm and long term direction to the economy. We hope that the set direction is followed diligently in the coming years as the contribution to the nation's economy will be significant.We compliment the measures and schemes which have been introduced to benefit the masses and also thrust on infrastructure which would have a long term impact on the growth of the nation

Toyota Kirloskar Motor wins the Golden Peacock Award 2015 for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility (GPACSR)

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has been awarded the globally acclaimed Golden Peacock Award for their initiatives under Corporate Social Responsibility. This award recognised TKM’s commendable efforts, as a responsible corporate entity, towards creating a socially responsible and sustainable society.

Ms. Pankaja Munde, the Honourable Union Minister for Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare and Water Resources handed over the award at a ceremony held in Mumbai. In 2015, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is the only automobile company winning this prestigious Golden Peacock Award of the many corporate giants who qualified.

Early this year TKM won a commendation for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environment Management by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-ITC Sustainability Awards 2015.

Expressing his delight on the award Mr. Naveen Soni, Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said "It is an honour to be receiving this prestigious award. Globally Toyota has set a target of reducing CO2 by  90% by 2050 compared to 2010 levels by promoting environment friendly vehicles.

We are making efforts to bring in visible, positive and satisfying social impact. It is our constant endeavour to raise the bar of our CSR initiatives and this award has only reinforced our commitment, he further added.

Golden Peacock Awards (GPA) is a prestigious award designed to improve productivity and quality in organizations. It aims to promote business excellence by providing a framework or criteria for assessment that is based on similar principles as other awards throughout the world. This award instituted by the Institute of Director in 1991, is now regarded as a benchmark of Corporate Excellence.
