M&M post positive figures in cumulative sales numbers for the month of May 2013 with overall 42,104 units were sold as against 39,938 units sold during the same month previous year thus marking a 5.42% growth.
Also in May 2013 , both Passenger Vehicle and 4 wheeler Commercial Vehicle segments recorded positive growth while three wheeler and Heavy and Medium Commercial Vehicles sales decreased.
The YoY comparison for the period April- May shows , the 4 wheeler CV segment’s performance is promising at 11% growth as against same period the previous year. Further they are prepared to face still competition in their dominant segment SUV and MUV from the Renault Duster and newly introduced of Ford Ecosport and Chevrolet Enjoy. In M&HCV segment MNAL sales worsens further as sales went down by 25% for the period April – May as against same period last year.
M&M has started the commercials of Ssangyong Rexton. The brand is positioned under luxury segment in Europe.
