The cumulative sales for Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. for July 2013 stood at 37,096 units as against 47,059 units during July 2012, registering a 21% decline. The domestic sales got reduced by 19% with 34490 units sold in July 2013 as against 42799 units sold in July 2012. Exports declined considerably by 39%.


The cumulative year to date sales for financial year 2013-14 stood at 1,52,703 units as against 1,60,983 units during same period of fy 2012-13, registering a 8% decrease. Total domestic sales went down by 5%.

The June 2013 sales of passenger vehicles shrunk by 29% with 15,530 units sold as against June 2012 where 22,011 units were sold. The segment witnessed their year-to-date sales for fy 2013-14 decrease by 9% as against same period of fy 2012-13. The sales of M&M 4-wheeler commercial vehicles notes a positive growth of 5% as in year-to-date 2013-14 as against same period fy 2012-13, but the June 2013 sales decreased by 6% in comparison with June 2012. The heavy commercial vehicle segment suffered a steep decline of 23% in June 2013 as against June 2012.

Farm Equipment Segment of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. registered a 12% increase in sales numbers July 2013 as 18,469 units sold against 16,521 units in June 2012. The sales in domestic market is 17,771 units as against 15,495 units in July 2012, recording a growth of 15%.
