General Motors India has sold 23,271 vehicles during the first quarter of financial year 2013-14, registering an 8% growth as against same period of previous quarter where 21,448 vehicles were sold. The June sales for GM India reported a 10.71% decline after the first two months of the quarter recording positive sales, mainly due to the temporary halt in productions of Tavera BS-III and Diesel versions of Sail HB & NB. Chevrolet Enjoy had sold off 4755 units since its launch in May.
Chevrolet SAIL is the most sold model for GM India during the Q1 2013-14 with 7794 units. But their June sales had affected as the Diesel Versions HB & NB has been temporarily withdrawn from the market. The sales for Beat adds up moderate volumes at 5573 units during the first quarter of 2013-14.
