AUDI kick off the second half of the year delivering 131,300 cars globally in the month of July 2013, registering 9.8% growth as in comparison with July 2012.
Audi is enjoying significant success in emerging markets of Asia Pacific as they sold 48,400 units in July 2013, an increase of 24.4% as against July 2012. In Mexico they witnessed an increase of 15.1% and in USA an increase of 11.6%. But back home in Europe, the poor market sentiments let them down as they saw their sales down by 0.2%.
The year-to-date sales for the year 2013 of AUDI is up by 6.9% as against same period of previous year. They had sold 911,800 cars so far this year as against 852,845 units during the same period of year 2012. Asia-Pacific marks 19.1% increase of sales while in USA the growth is of 13.6%. Audi continues their impressive run in Mexico registering a 40.1 % growth in year-to-date 2013 as against same period of 2012. Sales in Europe had declined at 2.2%.
Better Prospects in India, China and Russia
In China, Audi enjoys a huge success in July 2013 with 41,766 units sold as against 32,877 units during July 2012, registering a healthy 27% growth. They year-to-date sales for year 2013 increase by 19%.
In India Audi sales for July 2013 stood at 705 units marking 3.7% growth as against 680 units in July 2012. The cumulative sales so far for year 2013 is 5551 units against 4680 units in same period of year 2012 registering 18.6% increase.
Russia witnessed a 7.1% growth in July 2013 with 2954 units sold against 2757 units in July 2012. The cumulative sales for year 2013 in Russia stood at 21,135 units which is a 9.1% increase as against 19,320 units sold till July in year 2012.
