The overall sales for TVS motors for February 2014 stood at 177,662 units against 165,696 units in February 2013, registering 7% growth.
Domestic sales in February 2014 grew by 4% at 148,880 units against 143,800 units in February 2013. Exports registered 31% increase with 28,782 units in February 2014 against 21,896 units during February 2013.
Two Wheeler Sales Overview
Total two wheeler sales for the month of January 2014 were 170,293 units which registered 6% growth in comparison with 160,895 units sold in February 2013. Domestic sales of two wheelers were 147,580 units in February 2014 which witnessed an increase of 26% against 142,800 units sold in February 2013. The exports stood at 22,713 for February 2014 against 18,095 units sold in February 2013, registering growth of 26%.
Sales of Scooters grew by 37% as 41,990 units were sold in February 2014 against 30,611 units sold in February 2013. Motorcycles sales registered growth of 3% with 62,762 sales units in February 2014 as compared to 60,985 units in the month of February 2013.
Three Wheeler Sales Overview
The overall three wheeler sales grew by 53% with 7,369 units for February 2014 against 4,801 units sold during February 2013.
