Tata Motors' total sales; (including domestic and exports sales) witnessed 34% decline in April 2014 at 33,892 units sold against 51,160 units sold in April 2013. The company's domestic sales for April 2014 were 30,670 nos., 36% decline over 47,595 nos. sold in April last year.

Passenger Vehicles Sales Overview

Sales of passenger vehicles for April 2014 stood at 7,441 units, lower by 36% in comparison with 11,570 vehicles sold in April 2013. Sales of the Nano/ Indica/ Indigo range in April 2014 declined by 37% against April 2013 while the sales of Sumo/ Safari/ Aria/ Venture range declined by 33%.

Commercial Vehicles Sales Overview

Sales of commercial vehicles for April 2014 in the domestic market were 23,229 units registering drop of 36% as compared to 36,025 vehicles sold in April last year. LCV sales declined by 43% while M&HCV sales declined by 16%.
