Indian Commercial Vehicle Market is Coming back on Track

The Commercial vehicle market registered 9% growth in November 2014. The total Industry volume was 47,686 units excluding MAN Trucks and BharatBenz. Trucks and Bus sales

Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, VECV, Force Motors and Volvo has increased its sales.  Almost all market parameters were negative before election, now slowly all are turning into positive mode.The highest growth registered by Volvo, Ashok Leyland, and Force Motors.

Market share of trucks and buses

Tata, Mahindra & Mahindra,  Ashok Leyland. VECV Eicher, Force Motors market share is almost flat.There are no major market share change happened in November 2014. AMW has lost around 50% market share. Isuzu slightly increased its share.

m&HCV buses sales in India

Tata Motors has lost 9% market share, at the same time Ashok Leyland has gained 12% market share in M&HCV Bus segment. Tata Motors is market leader with 53% market share. VECV Eicher and SML Isuzu has lost market share in double digit. In Medium and Heavy duty Buses. In this segment also, Ashok Leyland has increased market share from 27% to 39%, around 12% market share.  Eicher lost 18% and SML Isuzu lost double digit market share.

M&HCV sales

Long time this segment has seen negative growth but now it could be growing segment.Unfortunately AMW could not turn its sales into positive growth in last couple of months like other players has done it. One time AMW was fastest growing Truck manufacturer in India and it was giving tough competition to establish players like Tata, Ashok Leyland in heavy segment and it was first choice by for Multi axle tipper segment.

LCV Bus sales in India

Due to correct product folio of Force Motors, Its is market leader of around 40% and ity increased from 43% to 52%. Tremendous growth registered by VECV Eicher and Mahindra & Mahindra.

LCV trucks market share

LCV segment has registered de growth of around 3%, Mahindra & Mahindra growth rate flat. Ashok Leyland, Piaggio, VECV Eicher, Force Motors has lost market share and registered de growth of 6%, 23%, 8% and 20% de growth.

  2. Considering the market down by 50% in last two years this growth is nothing.
    On the basis of current scenario this growth is temporary and actual growth expected to happen only from September 2015 on wards.
