The overall sales for Mahindra and Mahindra for the month of August FY 2013-14 stood at 37,897 units including exports registering a 17% dip as in comparison with the same month of FY 2012-13 where sales were 45,836 units. Domestic sales for the month of August 2013 were 35,159 units which fall by 18% as against sales for August 2012 which was 42,826 units. Exports for August 2013 stood at 2,738 units as against 3,010 units during August 2012, recording 9% de-growth.
The cumulative year-to-date sales for the period April to August of financial year 2013-14 stood at 197,977 units as against 218,921 units during the same period of previous financial year thereby marking a decline of sales by 10%. Total domestic sales during the period April-August of FY 2013-14 accounts for 187,862 units fall by 8% against 203,809 units during April-August of FY 2012-13. The year-to-date exports stood at 10,115 units for April-August of FY 2013-14 which stumbles by 33% as compared against April-August of FY 2012-13 where 15,112 units were exported
Segment Break Down – August 2013 sales
Passenger Vehicles Sales in August 2013 stood at 15,821 units marking a decline of 28% as against August 2012 sales of 21,831 units.
The August 2013 sales for Four Wheeler Commercial Vehicles including Maxximo, Gio, Genio & Bolero Pick up stood at 13,718 units , falling by 4% in comparison with August 2012 sales of 14,267 units.
Three Wheeler sales decline by 14% in August 2013 at 5149 units against 6004 units in August 2012.
Mahindra Truck and Bus Limited recorded a sales of 471 units in August 2013 which had declined by 35% as against the August 2012 sales figures of 724 units.
Segment Break Down – Year to Date April-August FY 2013-14 sales
The year-to-date sales for Passenger Vehicles for FY 2013-14 stood at 91,575 units, registering decline of 13% as against 105,342 units during the same period in FY 2012-13.
The year-to-date sales for FY 2013-14 of Four Wheeler Commercial Vehicles including Maxximo, Gio, Genio & Bolero Pick up stood at 70,481 units with some relief as a positive growth of 3% is registered as against 68,366 units sold in April-August period of FY 2012-13.
Three Wheeler sales decline by 12% in April – August FY 2013-14 at 22,006 units against 24,968 units in April-August FY 2012-13.
Mahindra Truck and Bus Limited recorded a sales of 3,800 units in April-August period for financial year 2013-14 as against 5,133 units in April-August FY 2012-13 period, registering a 26% decline.
